New Construction

In April 2011, Saunders Yachtworks broke ground on a $10 million major vessel repair complex at mile marker 155.5 on the Intracoastal Waterway adjacent to Saunders' corporate headquarters. Saunders partnered with Clark, Geer & Latham Engineering of Mobile to design and engineer the project and White-Spunner Construction to build it. The complex will include a dry dock basin with a Travelift capable of hauling vessels up to 150 tons and 130 feet long.

Projected to finish construction in the spring of 2012, Saunders will service recreational, military and commercial vessels from the northern Gulf Coast, the inland rivers of the U.S., the Great Lakes and South Florida.
