Repower Projects
Support for repower projects can be found at Saunders Yachtworks. Yachtworks' specialists are on hand for repower projects for main propulsion engines, generator sets, and auxiliary equipment. Throughout the repower project Yachtworks’ specialists will assist you with product selection and will engineer your entire project. Yachtworks’ specialists will provide turn-key installation and needed support after the sale and installation.
Yachtworks’ specialists are experienced in air conditioning, electrical power generation systems, and many other components. Saunders Yachtworks is your factory authorized dealer for all your auxiliary equipment needs.

"Cat in a Hat"

The “Cat in a Hat” was purchased by Saunders Yachtworks for the purpose of demonstrating a classic restoration. Yachtworks will be performing a total refit of the entire engine space and minor structural work. The “Cat in a Hat” will receive a new propulsion package, new drive line, and new systems plumbing & connection.

After several months in production, we sea-trialed the "Cat in a Hat"
top-end speed is 29.6 knots at 2300 rpm, 94% load; cruise speed is 26.3 knots at 2000 rpm, 24.3 knots at 1900 rpm with a fuel burn of 50 gal/hr.
We are very proud of this outcome and know that the new owner will be as well. This classic Hatteras 53 is now on sale through Saunders Yachtworks. Please contact us for more information.
